**Sopilers, maybe?**

This was a fun, although sometimes frustrating, read. Emory's a hilarious and self-deprecating main character-- Mr.-play-it-safe, who decided it was time for a change after his fiancée left him at the altar. He took a solo trip to Thailand, which was intended to be a honeymoon, and coined himself 'New Emory'. At the start of his trip, Emory met Nate, another solo vacationer, and put his new, care-free persona to use exploring Thailand (and a deeply buried attraction to menfolk) with his new acquaintance.

After returning to his regularly scheduled life, Emory was reunited with Nate (in a highly improbable fashion), and the two danced around each other in friendship, not letting it go further, even though they already slept together in Thailand!!!. I don't mind a slow burn, but this seemed very odd and unreasonable.

Emory infuriated me at times, and I wanted him to just f*cking grow a pair! Even taking into account that he was dealing with a lot, his lack of action continued past the point I was willing to let it slide.

All that said, I did enjoy the story. I loved the tidbits of the guys exploring Thailand and Chicago. Emory and Nate are a fun pair, and I'm glad that they finally reached their happy together.
Half Moon Chambers - Harper Fox 4.5 stars

Half Moon Chambers contains the lyrical writing, strong sense of place and beautifully flawed characters that I have now come to expect when reading Harper Fox. The city and settings within are almost characters themselves. Narcotics officer Vince is an engaging narrator, broken on the inside as well as out after an on-the-job injury has taken him out of the field. He meets and is inexplicably drawn to Rowen, a possible witness in a drug related killing. As Rowan reveals his past and his own constant struggle, the two men end up finding solace and support in each other.
When You Were Pixels (Syntax #0.1) - Julio-Alexi Genao More! I need more!
Quid Pro Quo - Aleksandr Voinov, L.A. Witt Wow! Smokin hot. More, please ;)
Wacky Wednesday - J.A. Rock 4.5 stars

Fun, funny and heartwarming!
Cards On The Table - Josh Lanyon 4.5 stars

When Tim's book research of an old, unsolved murder case triggers events that have him a little spooked, he turns to his neighbor, Jack, a detective who slighted Tim after a few dates. I enjoyed the slow reveal of what happened in Tim's past and the ongoing physical, emotional and social effects.

So many moments to love:

Jack must have had the day off because he was swimming in the deserted pool as I wearily passed the courtyard on the way to my apartment. I deliberately ignored the sight of his lean brown body cutting through the aqua water, glistening powerful arms dipping slow and steady in perfect rhythm with the strong kick of his long, tanned legs.

I was going to have to work on my ignoring technique.
Dark Soul Vol. 1 - Aleksandr Voinov Sucked in. Must read next one!
#First Impressions #Second Chances - Heidi Belleau I wrote the Dear Author prompt for this story, so maybe I have a bias, but eh, I'm reviewing it anyway!

This story is so cute and fun! Jonah is awkward in such an adorable way and Sebastian is awesomely sweet. These boys had me laughing and smiling in a big way. Thanks, Heidi, for a fantastic story!
How to Repair a Mechanical Heart - J.C. Lillis So. Fun.

I smiled, I laughed, I awwed. I attempted to reach through my kindle to squish Brandon into a hug. Repeatedly. I was brought back to adventurous summer trips from my past and wanted to ride along in the Sunseeker to CastieCon right along with them. Just delightful!
Xylophone - K.Z. Snow 4.5 stars
Aaron - J.P. Barnaby 4.5 stars
Something Different - S.A. Reid, T. Baggins 4.5 stars
Every Time I Think of You - Jim Provenzano Every Time I Think of You is a coming of age novel about young love and coming to terms with disability. Reid and Everett meet by happenstance at seventeen, and their relationship develops very quickly. The boys discover the joys of love while overcoming difficulties of family, peers and a tragic event that leaves Everett disabled.

I don't know that I can do this book justice in a review. I loved it. The characters are real and grow through their hardships. It's clever, poignant and beautifully written. I wish more people new about this book!
Taxes and Tardis - N.R. Walker 3.75 stars

Cute opposites attract story about an electrician who becomes tongue tied when he meets his geeky, Dr. Who loving new accountant. The characters are well done and I especially enjoyed the early parts of the book when the guys are getting to know each other. They each have past experiences that make it hard to believe that the other is interested, but I felt the problem toward the end was a bit overdone. Plenty of hot smexy times in this one, too.
Turkey in the Snow - Amy Lane A sweet story about a Hank, who's been raising his niece, Josie, since his sister took off a few months prior. He's trying to make everything perfect for Josie at Christmas, and isn't interested in any extra drama. Justin, the flamboyant child care worker at Hank's gym, is Josie's favorite. Hank has Justin pegged as a drama queen, and tries to keep Justin at a distance. But Justin is persistent in his pursuit, and turns out to be the key to making a family.
Christmas with Danny Fit - Amy Lane This is a sweet, uplifting story about Kit, who sees himself as a pudgy, nerdy accountant. He decides to make some changes in his hum-drum life when he meets his vibrant new assistant, Jesse. This is told from Kit’s perspective, and his inner dialogue is at times very amusing. Both guys have flaws which make them all the more likeable and they help each other through some issues and insecurities. They are such a good fit for each other.
